Olive View Campus
Parking
Parking is free at the Olive View campus. A parking permit and access card are required for staff parking lots. Rotators will be provided the permit and access card during their rotation.
Staff and residents should not park in Visitor Parking during weekday business hours. Citations will be issued to violators by hospital campus sheriffs.
Meals
A meal card allowance at the Cafeteria is provided to Olive View housestaff. The allowance is $58.45 per week. Up to $8 can be allocated for breakfast, $10 for lunch, $10 for dinner.

Call Rooms
Designated call rooms are available for housestaff on overnight call shifts. Call rooms may also be used after shifts to avoid fatigue while driving. Call rooms are equipped with a bed and computer workstation.
Pagers
Pagers will be issued by the Department of Medicine, and must be returned at the end of training. Rotators will also receive pagers to be used while at Olive View, and these must be returned at the completion of the rotation.

Secure Messaging and Video Conferencing
HIPAA-compliant communication is available to through Microsoft Teams and AMSConnect.
MS Teams can be installed on your mobile device and is available across all workstations. Chat with your interdisciplinary team, share project files, and join video conferences all on Teams.
AMSConnect can be installed on our mobile device and allows you to receive text pages to your phone.
Lactation Room
A lactation room is available by request for the duration of lactation or rotation at Olive View.
Health
Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage
Insurance is provided through UCLA. Visit the benefits website for residents and fellows at the University of California. More information is available at www.ucresidentbenefits.com.
If you have not already created an account, use your Member ID from your insurance card to create your online account at www.anthem.com/ca.
Coordination of Benefits (COB)
Anthem Blue Cross may reach out to you to confirm whether you or your dependents have medical coverage in addition to what is provided through the Housestaff Benefits package. This is something done periodically by insurance companies in order to verify Coordination of Benefits (COB). If you are contacted by Anthem, please make sure to respond as quickly as possible. If there are claims pending for anyone covered by your member ID, lack of response could result in any outstanding amounts being sent to collections.

Fatigue Mitigation
Ride share services to get home from work are available to housestaff and may be reimbursed when used after a 24-hour or night shift. See the Transportation Reimbursement for Fatigued Housestaff in the Policies & Procedures.

Salary
Effective July 1, 2021 housestaff stipends are:
- PGY-1: $64,379 annual ($5,364.92/month)
- PGY-2: $66,513 annual ($5,542.75/month)
- PGY-3: $69,126 annual ($5,760.50/month)
