Welcome to the Healthcare Leadership and Advocacy Track!
Mission
The Health Care Leadership and Advocacy Track aims to foster leadership skills necessary in hospital and clinic-based practices and promote resident engagement in healthcare advocacy.
Goals
The track emphasizes: core elements of leadership training, high value care models, steps to engaging and leading advocacy levels and community partner engagement. A final capstone project culminating in advocacy work in Sacramento, CA or Washington DC will be used to synthesize tools learned in the track. Participants will be PGY 2 or PGY 3 level trainees. While we do our best to accommodate all interested residents, the total number accepted will depend on capacity.
