- Etiology: occlusion of cerebral arteries by septic emboli, cerebral hemorrhage, meningitis, encephalitis, brain abscess, mycotic aneurysm
- Diagnosis using Duke Endocarditis Diagnostic Criteria
- Treatment tailored antibiotics for 4-6 weeks
